Amazon instant prime or still DVD?

Is it safe to buy tv shows or movies on Amazon instant prime?Or just get the DVD instead?The reason why i use Amazon instant prime is i can watch what i bought on most of the platforms out there and you can watch them offline on the the Amazon instant app.The reason why a am a little nervous about buying on demand is what if in the unlikely event Amazon or Itunes closes all there offices and shuts down there online stores for good would i then be able to still watch my content bought or should i use both and get DVDs?And the reason why i am nervous about DVDs they could run out of stock from stores or for good and DVDs can get scratched over time.I like both options.

IIRC you have the option to download the movie as well as stream it when you buy it on amazon. I don't know what kind of contingency plan amazon or iTunes have in the event of them closing down shop.

Low chance that Amazon or Itunes going under in reasonable time as in 15 years. Very high chance the new owner will continue to honor the service to keep the customer base who is the real value.

Cancel all the drm would .... off all the customers and giving you an terrible reputation.
