Spore!

EA\'s community managers actually know how PO\'d people were with original Spore, and have *gasp* paid attention, so they say. Time will tell.

They\'re not (very) stupid; they know if the first few reviews say \'it\'s as bad as the old one\', they won\'t be able to shift them at any price.

Vexx32 - would you happen to know why my Galactic Adventures loves to glitch up and die? I downloaded it from Gamestop... and if I\'m not careful to save often I usually end up getting something cool and losing it.

No, this is running with GA. Would C&C interfere though?

Nope, it should run just fine. However, DO make sure you\'re running Spore with the 'Galactic Adventures' shortcut, and ensure the mod is in the SPORE_EP1\Data folder. In addition, it doesn\'t like being run with other mods. If you have any others, I suggest you take them out. Finally, if none of this works, back up your %APPDATA%\SPORE\Games folder (should contain a folder called 'Game0', so you can perhaps rename it to 'Game1' or similar), and have the Game0 folder empty. This\'ll cause Spore to regenerate the galaxy data and can help clear up obscure issues.

You may have to elaborate a little. I\'ve been troubleshooting Spore for nigh on 3 or 4 years now. I know just about all the issues there are. If you have a processor with more than one or two cores, you may have to confine Spore to one core. It wasn\'t built for multi-threading or multiple cores.

I don\'t really know how I can. I\'ll be doing completely unrelated things and having it glitch... although one constant, at least in Creature stage, is pressing escape to kill the cutscenes. That will usually cause it. But in space...? I dunno.

I\'m using a dual-core processor. My laptop handles normal Spore absolutely flawlessly, it\'s only GA that screws up.
