Your Recommended Space Program Starter Pack

Recommended Posts

Here's some that I recommend:

Wayfare's Crafts - Low part and simple designs that are easy for newcomers to understand, but function beautifully and look very good as well.

Scarecrow88 - Great beginner and advanced craft, low part count design and well thought out.

Reistlyn's Crafts - Aesthetically pleasing designs that have scientific utilities, too! Great designs.

inigma's Space Shuttle - Good representation of the Space Shuttle that looks and performs well. Many payloads to choose from and gives newcomers an opportunity to see spaceplane design.

Kosmo-not's Crafts - Good, creative designs with innovative techniques. Good for beginners as well.

GusTurbo's Crafts - Gus knows how to manipulate parts to get aesthetically pleasing results. Great craft!

Giggleplex777's Crafts - Lots of good stuff. Sadly, a lot of it is broken with the new spaceplane parts but once he fixes them, it will be spectacular!

Majorjim's Crafts - Anything on his page will be spectacular, but the Constellation pack is a good example of modular mission design and the Short Brother's VTOL shows how to balance aircraft quite well.

Rune's Crafts - Anything from Rune will also be spectacular, and he has so many great craft, but I especially like his modular base pack. Great example of module base design and how to transport base parts.

I simultaneously nominate and necro Wayfare's Aerospace, Engineering & Kitchen Appliances Munshine rocket family.

http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/63050-0-23-MUNSHINE-LIFTERS-5-165-tons-to-orbit-including-low-tech-Career-Mode-versions%21?highlight=Wayfare

Always been of great use to me, the boosters are well designed and low on parts. and now have low tech versions of themselves for career

I conquered all the planets while using these launchers, just because they made life so easy and saved me time

EDIT

oh damn, I just saw that this has already received a nomination,

I nominate it again!

Also I think that Mulbin's Apogee shipworks ought to be included, not because they are necessarily for beginners but because it shows what's possible

I couldn't agree more. Mulbin's work is in my eyes still the most impressive on these forums.
