I just learned that Explorer program which was American response to sputnik is still operational

I known abut the sattelites, but i did not know that it was "explorer family" for me Explorer as is Sputnik are always associated with historical missions.

Yup, Bill Phil, he meant that he didn't know that some modern satellites are still a part of the Explorer program.

Frankly, I didn't know that myself, that's really cool!
