Ksp made me decide to change to Linux

alien has been touch and go for me. it helps if the dll source is available, thats how i was able to implement freetrack support (by learning to read pascal). i also borrowed a joystick dll from garys mod to implement joystick support. looking over my code neither of these features should work under linux. fourtunately all i have to do is comment out like 6 lines of code to get my game engine to run.

many of the lua modules are not maintained. i would love to have an opengl binding that works beyond opengl 1.3. most are out of date, almost everything is for lua 5.1 (or earlier) and may or may not be forward compatible. the ones that exist work pretty well however. i wish it was as popular as python as a stand alone language. i think most people are just writing their own modules in c, or building their own interpreters with all the features they want built in.
