Or their propellers are just much more efficient than kerbal ones ?

a) this is the forum for Kerbal Space MARINES, the FPS. You want Kerbal Space PROGRAM for that sort of stuff.

The various space agencies around the world got together and uninstalled the RSS mod for real life. Earth is now 600km in radius - space is now affordable.

update:

c) 2km/s in 3 minutes is like 11m/s acceleration, or about 1.1g net average. That shouldn't be too hard in KSP, I'm probably averaging 1.5-2g overall with my own FAR-ish designs.
