Ok...couple questions/observations about 1.0

Where was that? I remember hearing rumors of that nature but never saw it stated explicitly.

We can have any two of these three: quality, quantity, quickness. We cannot move the deadline, so the other two must change. We aren't willing to compromise on quality either, so the only possible course of action is that features must be left out.

I think I've seen it implied other times, but can't find anything else at the moment.

Question to you all, is it my immagination or is KSP loading...faster since 1.0?

Nope, 1.0 has A LOT of performance fixes :)

Really getting this impression too. There's a lot of great new additions, but it feels as though everything was pretty rushed. The new aero seems unbalanced, especially in regard to issues like capsules flipping on re-entry, the lack of aerodynamic overlays is frustrating, especially when the dev notes said it'd be included. I've noticed a few bugs that, whilst not game breaking, definitely seem to be odd for a stable release (loud noises when timewarping in atmo, lots of part clipping). It's been said before that the release date of 1.0 couldn't be changed due to business reasons, and I really feel like so many little things were omitted for this reason. Really does feel like 0.95 Beta.

Well then, I hope the critics will be.. not-harsh.

In this, the Internet Age, those version numbers don't really mean anything (unless they really do pack up KSP dev, unlikely) and post 1.0 patches are common. Assetto Corsa is already at 1.0.5 (it went 1.0 last month).

Sorry for the off topic, but you seem to play a different Assetto Corsa than me.

edit: apart from the fact that you seem to pull numbers out of your nose, just because something became "common", doesn't mean it's okay. I learned in kindergarden already that it's not okay to poop on somebodies desk just because another kid did it.

I'm fine with the release so far, but that's on credit. Squad has definately some work to do.

I don't really get what you mean

patches can come AFTER 1.0. just because it's 1.0 doesn't mean it's 'end of the road' for development.

just because something became "common", doesn't mean it's okay.

maybe not, but you wouldn't want SQUAD just stop working right now...

why is the material bay causes my capsule to orient itself forward into reentry? how could i even survive that? plus parachutes are WAAAAAY OP the slow you down at 10k At 20 G's really op should be about a quarter or third of that

The materials bay has a lot less mass than does the capsule. The vehicle tends to want to fly with the COG at the bottom, so it flips.

Unless you counterbalance it with for example a small fuel tank (which including fuel is slightly higher mass than the Mk.1), it's going to flip.

I guess we're going to need to build landers with fuel and engines and do a powered descent in order to return materials containers to Kerbin.
