I almost killed her on her first Mun orbit mission.

I should add that I play with TAC Lifesupport, meaning that, among other things, my Kerbonauts use energy to keep their lifesupport running.

Well, unfortunately for this mission I hadn´t researched solar panels yet, so I thought, adding enough batteries, as well as using an energy producing engine would suffice.

Unfortunately I overestimated the energy production by the engine.

On the way back to Kerbin the batteries were hopelessly depleted so that I periodically (every 2 hours) had to do a short engine burn.

When I finally arrived at Kerbin I had to operate the engines earlier than normal in order to not lose control during my 2 aerobraking orbits (meant to lower the Apoapsis, very important, especially as I play with DRE).

And when I finally did my 3rd orbit in order to do the reentry and land, my fuel was totally depleted, also meaning that I absolutely had no powerr anymore in order to operate the SAS and keep the back of the spaceship aligned into the flight direction.

My spaceship tumbled without any control through the atmosphere, parts of it exploded and finally, below 20km, it broke in two.

Fortunately the parachute of the command module had survived and the speed bleed off was sufficient in order to get below 260 m/s, so that I was able to operate the parachute just in time to prevent crashing into the ground
