Probe size heat shields

I rarely use heatshields on anything as it is. shallow approaches and some left over thrust to burn and kill your leftover speed.

A deployable/inflatable heat shield that can fit onto the botton of a HEXS or an OKTO would be pretty cool. Some mods like Chaka Monkey have them but they are meant for 2.5m or 3.75m diameter crafts. 

I'm thinking about the possibilities of a sample return capsule...

This would be GREAT for my micro sample return space station probes, which use a modified nose cone that is a crew capsule that has maxcrew=0 but can stil store samples.

How do you manage Eve or Jool re entry?

it will be nice, but i don't expect they will last very long...
