1.0.2 Career mode Can't load ships via launchpad

Recommended Posts

Hi guys, I've run into a bug, and after deleting all mods and starting a new career it's still there so I think it might be an issue with the stock game.

If I make a ship and save it then try to load it by clicking on the launchpad nothing happens, the load ships windows doesn't open.

Thinking maybe it was an issue with just the smallest launchpad I tried starting a new career again with lots of funds and upgraded to tier 2 then tier 3 and still the load ships window doesn't appear when clicking on the launchpad.

Sandbox seems fine, so I think it's an issue with career marking all ships, even ones we make ourselves, as stock.

can anyone please confirm?

Anyone? no?

So I can only conclude that either no one can be bothered to take the 1 minute required to check if this is a bug or no one has come across this bug in 1.0.2 and couldn't be bothered letting me know.

thanks

I just checked, it's working fine on Linux, not sure about windows.

It's extremely likely you have log errors, it's somewhat possible that those errors might help solve this.

Good point, sorry that never occurred to me

There's a lot of this kind of stuff.

[LOG 02:52:59.949] RDNode Load icon: RDicon_motors-advanced RDicon_motors-advanced

Which looks a bot bit moddy to me, also this.

[EXC 02:57:41.094] NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object

ShipTemplate.LoadShip (.ConfigNode root)

LaunchSiteFacility.HasValidVessels (System.Collections.Generic.List`1 vesselFiles)

It looks to be saying there's an invalid vessel, maybe something copied from another save, can you test a new save please.

Also do you have any of your own craft in the stock craft folder?

bot moddy?

I don't know what that is

it was definitely a new ship on a new career, but to double check I just tried again, new career, new vessel, saved in the VAB and then tried to load via launchpad.

here's the logs

Maybe this is it.

[ERR 18:18:31.702] Error: Empty part config file

I think when you removed your addons you removed something KSP is looking for, do you keep your KSP.zip? You may need to unzip it again over the current folder to ensure everything is present.

Oh and I meant "bit moddy / modified" :)
