Looks like I have a about a week of free time to KSP, so, well, I'll be here until a week or two.

In my personal experience it is a lot easier to let it go completely than to hang on just a bit. It will do your personal and school life good and you will most probably enjoy it more when and if you return. Not that I want you gone, it might just save you from a couple of mistakes I made.
