Slow motion mode?

I know theres the F3 menu, but that only helps so far. I'm trying to do the dragster challenge and I want some sort of slow motion mode to see WHY it's crashing, I see the how, but not the why and it happens so fast that I can't see how it starts.

I agree- there was a mod for this, but it doesn't work in 1.0 (I know because I tried it today, got a black Kerbin).
