Science transfer

Recommended Posts

Is it possible to transfer science from one vessel to another with KSP vanilla ?

I guess it s possible with Ship-Manifest mod.

As I wait for next hotfix, I check mods I ll use. So do I need to bother with Ship manifest ?

PS: I'd like to use a shuttle to gather science in labs and bring it back to KSC.

To retrieve science from experiments a kerbal needs to be able to EVA close enough to the experiment to 'reach' it, then simply right click to open the part's context menu. There should be an option called "Take Data". You can now repeat the process with the command pod and see an option to store data. Keep in mind that you can only store 1 type of data from every "area" so if you have 2 materials bay experiments you can only store one in the command pod. The other either needs to either be transmitted, retrieved from kerbin by bringing the part back, or deposited into a different pod. If you try to deposit duplicate experiments you will get a message telling you can't and upon attempting to board the pod you will be prompted to dump the duplicate data.
