Lockheed Martin F-35A and Boeing F/A-XX Concept Pack:

By ScriptKitt3h

The Lockheed Martin F-35A Lightning II is the US Air Force's newest fighter aircraft, and while it does resemble its predecessor, the F-22 Raptor, it does have a smaller overall size and utilize more advanced technologies, as well as a single-engine propulsion system.

The Boeing F/A-XX is a concept 6th-generation fighter, tailored towards replacing the US Navy's fleet of F/A-18 Super Hornets sometime in the mid-2030s. Sporting a stealthy, tail-less design, this fighter truly looks ready for the future of warfare.

For anyone wishing to use these craft for dogfighting, I recommend the BDArmory mod for its Air-to-Air missiles, and for its functional AI-controlled craft.

F-35 actually does have two engines. One is hidden underneath the front wide airbrake when it lifts up it to be used as an airbrake and to defect the air into the vertical intake

No it doesn't. The fan you are talking about is mechanically linked to, and driven by, the main turbojet. Well technically I'm sure it has some APUs, but counting those as engines...

Rune. Nice plane BTW.

Wunderbar!

I'm surprised that no one has posted in reply yet.

F-35 looks great, but a bit small

Thanks! Glad ya'll like the pack. I will say that I did have a wikipedia-sourced image from Lockheed Martin showing the real-life overhead, side, and front views of the F-35A while I was building it, and that I tried to get it to a good, working scale in-game.

Yup! As Rune said, the F-35 doesn't have two engines, but the F-35B STOVL variant (utilized primarily by the USMC) does have a VTOL lifting fan powered by the main engine. I only included the two engines (albeit clipped together to make a singular nozzle) so that the performance would be appropriate. Glad you guys like the replicas! I've got one or two more I might add to this pack, so stay tuned!
