Is there a way to assembly part ships in space?

After some hours, i was able to dock my litthe ship with a lander in my ISS to refuel before try to go to the moon.

Soon i realized that firgot to build a battery and another instrument, and realized that if my engineer could assembly a dock in my other iss end, i could upgrade the iss itself.

So... is there a way so i can build rocket parts in space? not necessarily a new ship, but upgrade one im already using.

Any mods who allow that? thanks in advance
