How do I do this contract?

I decided to give career mode the old college try, actually liking the new tech tree (mainly because we now have airplane wheels really early) which will make science mode a bit more fun. Anyway, I've been trying to avoid grinding contracts but I need a bit of extra cash and I saw this thing roll in. Problem is, I'm not at all sure how this is actually supposed to work.

Traveller 1:

Suborbital flight on the Mun, fly by the Mun, orbit the Mun, suborbital flight on Minmus.

Traveller 2:

Suborbital flight on Kerbin, suborbital flight on Minmus, orbit Kerbin.

Traveller 3:

Orbit Kerbin, land on the Mun, suborbital flight on the Mun, orbit the Mun.

Traveller 4:

Orbit Kerbin, orbit the Mun, suborbital flight on Kerbin, suborbital flight on Minmus.

Traveller 5:

Orbit Minmus, orbit the Mun, suborbital flight on the Mun, land on the Mun.

So, if I'm looking at this right, I should:

Launch into Kerbin orbit, transfer to the Mun, land on the Mun, launch from the Mun, transfer to Minmus, land on Minmus, launch from Minmus, return to Kerbin. Do I need to do anything stupid like "HOLD STILL FOR TEN SECONDS HURRRRRR" for a condition to be met? Can I simply set up a Minmus intersection to qualify for suborbital flight or does my periapsis need to be inside Minmus?

For suborbital flight you need to get you periapsis under 0.
Nice, thanks, I don't even need to land on Minmus then.

There's no 10 second wait time, also it doesn't have to be a single flight as the Kerbals will remain with you until either their individual itinerary's are complete or you exceed the contract time.

Landing on the Mun includes a sub-orbital flight so that's easy enough, you need a Minmus orbit with a periapsis below ground and an apoapsis within the SoI, so you'll have to slow down and let your passengers enjoy the view, looks like you won't have to land though.

There's no science with one of these contracts though so load up on widgets, the tourists are funding your research :D

They don't have to be done all in one flight.
Why wouldn't I do them all in one flight? I'm trying to avoid grinding contracts here, what you're suggesting would increase the number of useless flights I have to do.

*sigh*

So you can combine them with other contract flights.

Land on the Mun mission? Bring the tourists along.

Deploy satellite around Minmus? Bring the tourists.

Should be easy enough to do in one flight.
I know. ;). I have 2.5m tanks, girders, and a level 2 VAB, should be trivial.

I already "Explored the Mun", why would I go back?

Because the Grigorys have always wanted to land on the mün. There just too sheepish to ask you themselves. They'll love it. And you'll love yourself for having taken them.

So what you're saying is that I should take some Mun, Minmus, and Kerbin space contracts, combine them with this one, and do it all in one go so I don't have to make more useless contracts flights than I need to? Good to know.

If you want cash but want to minimize grinding, then completing several contracts in one mission is the best way to accomplish this.

Here is where I stop saying anything more.

I feel like you think I'm new at this game or career mode (believe you me, I wouldn't be so harsh on it if I hadn't played it). :P. I just wasn't sure about completing tourist conditions.

You got a pretty easy set of tourists there. Sometimes their itineraries aren't even in the same ballpark as each other. I've seen tourists wanting to go to the outer planets grouped in with ones who want to see the inner planets before.

Right. Same for rescues where you can just have a hitchhiker sitting in LKO waiting to be full - although your max contracts may limit your parallelism (but that is configurable in Contracts.cfg, and I'm having toooo many contracts now)

Because later on you'll get tourism contracts where one tourist wants to orbit both Duna and Eve. Or land on Dres and Laythe. One fool wanted me to land him on Eve and return. For under 400k. I don't think so.

But yeah, I'd do the one you have now in a single pass, too. :)
