Removing a Part from Staging.

Can we make a way to remove a part from staging? Like removing a solid booster from the stage part list, and assigning it into a action group?

Or remove same parachutes from staging, because they are for abort only.

I'd also like to be able to ADD an action group to the staging list as well.

I've seen some mods that do this (I think deadly reentry allowed you to toggle whether the built-in decouplers on the heatshields show up in staging, this was on 0.90 though) and that was very helpful.

Same here, I have a spaceplane with parachutes in the abort action group(along with various other things) on it and I sometimes uhhh activate them :3

I know you can do Mod+L but then I have to remember to Mod+L again later to turn staging back on.

Yes. I always hate that the stuffs of my payload appear in my staging. Also, be able to merge parts in the staging. For example, you have 24 engines in the first stage. You can't even see what's in the second stage.

Yes, an overhaul of the staging mechanism is long overdue. Harvester had this to say on the subject quite some time ago...

Just make it optional. Many cases it would be preferable if the controlled part was out of the staging sequences... (jet engines, emergency decouplers...)

Agreed. I want an extra stage block, maybe marked with anx, that things I never want to trigger in the sequence could go in. It could be down the bottom, or maybe of to tje side.

Anything Action-Group-able should be available in staging. Engine shutdowns (such as the Middle Engine Cutoff on Saturn V), mode switches, gimbal toggles...staging should just be made into a series of action groups in sequence. A timeline of planned events, if you will.
