Question about a specific mission

The one where you have to launch the 'poodle' into orbit, and then test it. Any ideas on the rocket design? I've tried putting the poodle where the nose cone should be but rocket flips. I try putting the poodle on the bottom but then it screws up my stages. I've tried about 5 designs by now and all fail.

Any help would be dope.

You can use the poodle to get to orbit, throttle down, re-adjust your staging mid-orbit on the left so that the poodle is in the "next" stage, and then press space to "test" it.

Another option is to activate the engine manually (i.e. by clicking on it, or by using an action group) rather than using staging per se. Doesn't count, you can use it as much as you want. Then when you get to where you need to be, throttle down and hit the space bar to stage it.
