I know it may be a question of preference but, which planetary mod/add on do you think has the edge over others ?

I do not have one installed yet and just wondered which one to try, thanks

For planetary modification (position, orbit, trajectory, etc.) I would suggest HyperEdit. I love messing around with this mod, making Gilly crash into Kerbin, and you can also use it to move crafts instantly to any orbit, anywhere. For adding planets, I remember seeing a planet factory mod somewhere, and I think they have changed it so it is now an interstellar mod with multiple suns and a super massive black hole in the centre of the galaxy.

+1 to Outer Planets. It's just beautifully done. Great eye candy, and thoughtfully designed (celestial bodies that are different enough to make interesting challenges, without being gimmicky). Feels very "finished" and professional-- if Squad had dropped this content into the stock game, I'd have accepted it without an eyeblink.

OOh, this sounds fun. I'd love to give the Mun an axial tilt and a non-circular, inclined orbit.

I might be wrong, but as far as I know, you can't give a planet an axial tilt due to the game engine limitations. There is a mod that attempts to make it appear that a planet has an axial tilt by texture shenanigans, but nothing real is possible.

Would it make much difference to gameplay? I guess things are very slightly more complicated if equatorial orbits around planets are further from the ecliptic.
