Couple of questions regarding the moding of the game

SO as the thread subjects says here are my two question for now regarding KIS/KAS mods:

1) If I decide later on to install those two mods will they disturb my career save file? I have already progressed like half way through tech. tree

2) If after some time of using those mods I decide to remove them what will then happen to my save file?

Any negative impacts?

1) Apart from already launched vessel possibly not using the KIS mechanics of inventory etc. it should not disturb anything.

2) Vessels build with parts from any mod will be deleted upon loading your save after deleting said mod, so be careful and maybe let the (although no longer functional) part files in the gamedata folder.

3) This would have been a good question in the General modding section of the forums.

aha and I suppose that adding this mod that places new parts in game would require me to research some nodes that I ave previously already researched? If there is a requirement for research of those nodes does somebody knows do I have to pay again full price (for example if it was 90 points do I have again to pay 90 or just a fraction of it?

If the mod creates its own research node yes you will need to research it but if it adds parts to an allready existing node then no it will be researched if you had it researched before you installed the mod.

Don't do it! It might just add yet more bugs which this game has plenty of already!

Nah i have done it before with many mods and everything was fine. And if it comes to that and the game bugs you can always reload your backup save which you should always create before installing mods.
