So I decided to take a trip to the mun and back. For my lander, I decided to use the retractable engines from BDynamics, which I had installed. So I do the launch, and get all the way to the mun. All this time I'm thinking that the engines will come out and invert itself, like the big landing legs. (Since the engines are upside down, when you select them.)

So I'm coming in for my landing, and I decide to fire up my engines.

You should tell people that was part of the design, it makes getting in an out of the pod much easier, not with all that needless jetpacking up and jumping.

BTW, I had an oversized nuclear engine I used as the core of a lander were only a flat ovoid fuel tank was on top, the rest of the SC rode saddle-bag on both sides of the engine, when the craft landed the nauts go to walk out on a deck and step right onto the surface without all that. jumping about. Im not a big radio phobe, a few gamma here and there never hurt any self-respecting kerbal.
