How do you end your forum posts?

That's a bit.. insulting though.
Why else would you sign your posts in such a manner? The last bit of content you write is prefaced by your nickname as if to say "DON'T EVER FORGET MY NAME". I mean, I can get around people signing with "All the best" or "Regards" as just being old-fashioned and silly, but prefacing your last sentence with your nickname is a move designed only to make yourself more memorable and unique.

It works, too.

If I'm posting a new craft or some big thing I will sign of with,

MJ

I find it a little pompous to sign off every single post. Not many people do that, even Rune. I used to do it but I bored myself!

MJ,

:D

Mary Jane or Michael Jackson?

Robotengineer. Sarcasm is the most abundant resource.

I know - All I'm saying is asking how you end your forum posts - A statement such as "Happy Landings"? Okay, sure. Your own name, that could be fine too. In my case, I use the former more often. I never said I ended my sentences with my own name, but neither do I oppose those who do.

I don't do it myself. I don't quite see the reason, these aren't emails, letters, or anything like that. I don't mind it though, unusual things make life interesting.

regex. Signing off like this just makes you seem like you're trying to be a special snowflake on the internet made more memorable by using a silly gimmick rather than the content of your posts while ignoring the tools already handed you by the forum software.

Cheers!

...I share this opinion exactly.

A post is usually a reply or adding something, in real life people don't say their name after everything they say. In writing, the same, that's what the period is for at the end of the last sentence.

I hope you realize that everyone knows what you mean, and some of us are just having fun with the question so don't be offended. Also, I think there's a couple other posts around here you could read to see how people end their posts :sticktongue:
