KSP racetrack

I'm not sure if this belongs here or in the add on development thread but I've always had an itch to find someone who added in a racetrack of some sort. I enjoy rover/racecar development and never had a good track to test them on. I was thinking one as wide as half the runway with plenty of turns.

I'm meaning like an actual structure not like a drawn out course on the ksc. We have the ability to add structures through kerbal konstructs so why I haven't seen a built out structure is beyond me. Or maybe I'm the only one who plays ksp to design racer-ish rovers

Really not a bad idea. Probably won't happen though. However, you could construct your own track using construction panels, I-Beams and what not. Flags for pylons etc. Get creative. A partnership of NASCAR & NASA,,, OMG

Ramps have been built out of construction panels and what-not. You could build track walls out of the same, maybe even banked turns.

Sounds like a KSP version of Mario Kart lol.

You would rapidly run into part-count overload if you did it that way.

It would be very nice if somebody built a Kerbinside racetrack, though. Especially if they did an air-racing circuit while they were at it...

I'm willing to develop at least the "rovermotive" track if I could figure out how to develop static entities for it. I've posted the question on one of the mod maker's threads and messaged him/her and I'm waiting on a response

This thread is quite old. Please consider starting a new thread rather than reviving this one.
