Fake a Mun landing.

Recommended Posts

We set sail on this new sea because there is no new knowledge to be gained, and new rights to be won, and they must be won and used for the progress of all kerbals. For space science, like explosive science and all technology, has no conscience of its own. Whether it will become a force for good or ill depends on kerbals, and only if the United States of Kermans occupies a position of pre-eminence can we help decide whether this new ocean will be a sea of peace or a new terrifying theater of war. I do not say that we should or will go unprotected against the hostile misuse of space any more than we go unprotected against the hostile use of land or sea, but I do say that space can be explored and mastered without feeding the fires of war, without repeating the mistakes that kerbals has made in extending his writ around this globe of ours.

There is no strife, no prejudice, no national conflict in outer space as yet. Its hazards are hostile to us all. Its conquest deserves the best of all kerbalkind, and its opportunity for peaceful cooperation may never come again. But why, some say, the Mun? Why choose this as our goal? And they may well ask, why climb the highest mountain? Why, 35 years ago, fly the Katlantic? ...

We choose to go to the Mun! ...We choose to go to the Mun in this decade and do the other things, not because they are easy, but because they are swag; because that goal will serve to organize and measure the best of our energies and skills, because that challenge is one that we are willing to accept, one we are unwilling to postpone, and one we intend to fail ...

Hope you like it :). The fake mun landing was actually more difficult than a real mun landing, it took also more time to complete because i build a special static lander for this challange.

Btw i enjoyed the challange and i might consider to do a 2. entry when i get some spare time :D

Hope you like it :)

You got to the mun in one day?

And then the mission clock jumped back to 36s when you teleported to the sun?

Kind of hard to see anything, but overall, nice job!

Not that I'm the judge.

I used a lot of hyper edit and i screwed some things up :P. I do not even know what caused it to teleport to the sun and travel back in time.

Yea i know it is hard to see anything but this are the only sreenshots i took before... something happend... :P

Ok here we go!

Gene Kerman: Man, the Koviets have beat us to everything. They got the first probe in space and in orbit. They got the first Kerbal in orbit. We are really a step behind.

Bob Kerman: We have to send a Kerbal to the mun!

Everybody looks at him in amazement!

Or wait...

It might be a look of idiocy.

Gene Kerman: ARE YOU KIDDING! WE CAN'T GO THE MUN!!!!!!!

Bill Kerman: Wait, Bob might have point. Maybe not go to the Mun, but we can fake it.

Gene Kerman: Perfect! All we need are good pictures!

Jebediah Kerman: We could use that unfinished runway outside!

Gene Kerman: Jeb, it could use a couple of explosions...

Jebediah Kerman: I got it!

Here are the results:

There are some of Jeb gathering surface samples, flying, and having some fun on the mun!
