  1. This looks fun! Looking forward to trying it! Are we allowed to submit multiple rides?
  2. I think I'm gonna revisit this... It was a fun challenge and I never got to finish it.
  3. Thanks! I got KSP working on another computer, so I should be able to test this out in a bit and put it into the official download. I don't know but I'll check it out!
  4. I can't currently help with that, I wish I could but my computers hard drive stopped working a while ago and I haven't been able to fix it yet. I'll look into this once I get the chance! IIRC I just copied the info over from the stock RTG and tweaked some values, the new 1.1 heat generation effects may be different than what was in the 1.0 config files.
  5. What did you use to fly to the North pole? Also I'm going to take on your challenge of launching from the sun
  6. Do you have any more information on this? It sounds pretty interesting!
  7. Ah okay, so does that mean the stock section is stock except for life support? That makes sense, I'll get TAC and try this out.
  8. does that mean this challenge requires some form of life support mod?
  9. I forgot to take a picture before, so heres what it looks like in the VAB
  10. I was going to say thank you, but I'm not seeing Poll or Content I like the quote in your signature though
  11. I haven't figured out how to add polls to post yet, so I'll just say this directly. I've been considering making the basic 1 kerbal suitcase smaller, because it is currently huge in comparison to your average kerbal. Would this be a change people would like to see, or should the suitcase stay as large and clunky as it is?
  12. Thank you for the reminder! I apologize for taking so long to get back to you, I forgot about kerbalstuff for a while. I originally meant to make some changes to the mod before I moved over to spacedock, but haven't ended up getting to it. The kerbal suitcases mod has a new home at spacedock!
  13. I was testing out a lander design and I cane across this! Who would've guessed! Eve has rainbows!
  14. I might try something a bit more complicated later, but here's this for now.
  15. I present the T. Indicus Rover, a 48 part 4.4 ton rover. It's suprisingly capable, and could likely survive all the test (though I'm too lazy and tired to try out the endurance test.) It survived all three strength test, though it preforms terribly in water, which makes the LES very useful. It is, on its own, capable of lugging around the 40ton ore trailer in the imgur album, but it is horrible at turning- which is why it has those huge wheels in the back. It's safe, practical, and could easily be reconfigured to lug around a trailer full of kerbals.
  16. This mod simply adds an advanced radiothermal generator- powerful enough to power a dawn engine on it's own. To make up for the immense power increase to the basic RTG, the Dusk weighs over eleven times as much- though it still only weighs 0.9 tons. On top of the energy production, the Dusk also stores a small amount of electricity and xenon gas. Now on the new spacedock! As always, the license is all rights reserved. I hope you all enjoy this as much as I enjoyed making it!
  17. At one point I was trying out a different lander design, completely rcs powered... i got pretty close to landing until i realized RCS does not kill velocity... 4 kerbals died. Also the one kerbal near the flag, she's suffering through paralysis. Probably a few more that I'm not remembering.
  18. If this was directed at me, thanks! I don't use MechJeb, but I'd recommend downloading trajectories as body fixed mode helps account for the mun's rotation. At the end of the day though.... it's mostly just luck, quicksaves, and lots of practice. Good luck on your probes!
  19. I'm making some progress on my mun base, not much... but some. Now there's a rover, a hab module, two landers, a science module, and some structural fuselages for linking modules together.
  20. This is really good! Good job if you want, I think a crew module would be a good addition to this mod- that way there can be crew shuttles.
  21. Science lab has landed with its skycrane. I'll post more pictures tomorrow, but this went pretty well for my first actual munshot! The original landing site was only about 350 meters away, so I'd say it was pretty successful in just two main maneuvers (excluding some minor adjustments.)
  22. Thanks! I kind of want to make them egg shaped because its a fun design but... I dont think it'd be a practical design choice. Edit: Yeah not every module will be an egg, but some will. Also I've started work on a rover but it's getting late... expect more tomorrow
  23. This isn't anything too impressive, it's just a simple egg shaped lander. I plan on setting up a larger crater base, so this is just the beginning of the conquest of the mun... there is more to come.
