Hi i am making a faction on a starmade server and because of how ridiculously hard it is to get new members i want to see if any of you wanna join the upcoming faction.

Well, yeah, I highly doubt I could contribute the necessary time to something like this. It looks amazing, but feels like it would require me to have twice the number of hours in a day than what I have.

My goal is at least 20 people on the faction because on the server im on (elwyneternity) players build really big ships so i'll need a lot of help to be able to face the big fish

I'd love to try and get into this, but what with finals and wedding, and life (and my persistent EU4 addiction) I don't think I have the time.

Well, perhaps during the summer.

Probably one of those games that technically lets you play for free, but if you want to get anywhere above "Level 5" you need to keep shelling out cash. Hopefully I'm wrong about that, but... generally anything that's Free to Play quickly devolves into Pay to Win.

What are the system requirements of the game? how big is the download?

EDIT: Found system requirements on the wiki. But how big is the download?

When you download it is just a launcher (Just like minecraft) and you install it from there, I believe the total is probably around 500mb

Have you already set up the Faction? So that if I download it now and start it up we can start doing stuff? (Idk how it works but I wanna start playing but only if someone will be there)

The download was only 180 MB, its nearly complete. (yeah I decided to go ahead and download it :P )

I'll join your faction, but don't expect me to be active all day every day.

The faction is not yet established but i will post on this thread when it is ready

The ip for the server is sm.elwyneternity.com:4242 so you can check it out prior to the factions establishment :) (Also so you'll have your own ship and i wont have to cross the galaxy a 2nd time to pick you up :sticktongue:)

I just finished the tutorial, I'm gonna mess around in single player for a bit till I get the hang of things. (also how can my framerate be so bad ITS MINECRAFT GRAPHICS

It seems to be a free pre-release, which will turn paid when they finish stuff.

I'll join eventually. :D

I downloaded the launcher and clicked update and install. When I exited the game to turn down some graphics, there was no shortcut to the game. Nothing in start menu. Nothing in Program Files. I clicked the launched again and it said it didn't detect an installation...yeah, I'm downloading it off steam now....(also steam says it has a free demo and the game is $9.99)

It worked fine for me on both windows and linux but as long as you can get it working. :)

Messing around in it. Why do I start losing health when I close in on a planet?? It's so frustrating. I built a ship with cannons and salvage beams and I was wanting to get some raw materials so I could actually do stuff but I can't go anywhere cause planets cause damage.

What the... how? you must be at a planet too close to the sun maybe you should settle in a more distant sector.

If I die, does my ship respawn with me?

I set nav to the farthest planet from a star. If this one causes damage I swear... :confused:

When you die your ship doesnt respawn in fact it wont get destroyed unless the core got overheated so if you get back there in time you should be able to get your ship back.
