Inbox full notification

Just wondering if it is possible to be given an auto-notification when our inboxes get (or are about to get) full. I know there is the available capacity info at the bottom, but tbh I never scroll down there. It would be super useful (if possible) to get a notification about it.

Oh. Well then. What happens when it reaches max capacity right now? Auto-deletes the oldest?

No, it just refuses to allow you to receive or send messages until you delete some of them. I know from experience, I've had to do it two or three times.

I just checked and unfortunately this is not currently possible.

Incidentally, although it specifically says inbox full, it seems to count your sent messages against the total as well, if you've got that option set to save. So you might clear out some of those if you're getting to your cap.

I've never had this problem on the KSP forums. I and based on the current rate at which I get mail, probably never will..

so.....how goes the plans for the forum upgrades? Does the proposed new forum have a feature like this?

For anyone else who is a digital hoarder like me; you can export your messages as CSV, XML (couple other options) before deleting them, in case you have that nagging feeling that there might be something really important buried in there.

After searching, I have found no documentation on any inbox full notifications or warnings. I found some discussion of what should happen when an inbox is full, but nothing concrete on that being in a release version of the forum software.

Not surprising! It's a big move, and migrating all that data is a scary prospect!

well lets hope it one of those undocumented bonuses!

I guess the other option would be to set up a forward to another account (ie gmail account or whatever) and automatically delete the mail, then at least the inbox would remain clear. I wonder if that's possible.
