Constellation Mission Packs Discussion Thread!

MRS, I'm having trouble with Kronal Vessel Viewer, and I know you use it. When I try to open it, it just flickers an image of the craft and won't allow ne to tweak any of the settings or take a photo. Did you ever have this problem?

No, I haven't had this problem, maybe it's caused my another mod?

You might try this thread: http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/75554-Exploded-ship-view-Axes-on-the-VAB-other-stuff-now-released-into-public-domain

Sweet bliss. The Copernicus DTV is completely complete! It's just sitting in the VAB now lookin' fabulous. It's a quantum leap over my old one, I can't wait till release.

Just a prototype, but it needs a rebuild, right?

Looks great! You're really good at capturing the shape of spacecraft.

This is looking awesome! I was in two minds about the SPR detail when I built mine. You've done it in fewer parts than me. Good job. There should be a little gap between the wheels though. And the ones in the video don't have the rear tray, just a hatch. I remade mine to look that way.

So, it seats two kerbals?

Thanks! I'm rebuilding the windscreen, which will add a bunch of parts. I think I'll stick with the tray, I think I like how it looks better that way. It should seat 3 kerbals, but I haven't tested that yet.

I have a question. The DTV has two Orions docked to it in LEO, one to the front of the TransHab and one docked to the T-truss. Are both sent up by Ares Is, or is one of them sent up with the section of DTV? And which one is which?

EDIT: Never mind, found the answer. One Orion is sent up on the last Ares V DTV cargo launch dock to the front of the TransHab, and the crew docks to the T-truss. I may just do two Ares I launches.

Thanks! With any luck, there shouldn't be too many more parts, I'm going to use wings for the exterior, and I'll need some fuel tanks, but that should be it!

How are people coming along now?

Progress is halted by fairings and performance issues.. I have a dv issue in one of the craft.

Have you tried a powered landing with the landers yet?

Sorry, I don't think I'm going to have a dv problem with my NTRPP, 10,000 dv unloaded, with not all of the fuel tanks loaded.

I haven't yet tried a powered landing, but I will soon.

Its with the Ares V.. My DTV also has huge dv capability. Due to the tank arrangement. Look forward to more progress!

My builds have quite a bit of detail, which means less dv. Kerbal Engineer can't measure the DTV's dv accurately because of the drop tank, but it has enough for a round trip. My cargo lander has around 650 dv, although I'll probably add more fuel. Ares I and the NTR propulsion stage could both probably use some more. Orion on its own has almost 2100.

Starting work on Altair, trying to find a way that is different from all the Oscar-B/xenon tank ones.

Also, I haven't shown much of my stuff, so pick one: Copernicus DTV or SPR rover?
