Bigger nuclear engine mod?

I used to use FTmN mod but I can't seem to find an up to date version. There was one 1.0 compatible nuclear engine mod that I saw but the bigger ones were overpowered. Does anybody know of a 1.0.2 mod with bigger nuclear engines that is in line with the efficiency of the original one?

MRS has a 2.5m one that is 100% balanced around the original LV-N and Taurus HCV has a 3.75m one that is a bit too light.

yeah but their big engine has double the ISP of the vanilla NERV

You might want to take a look at Novapunch and KSPX.

Freight Transport Technologies has two big LH2 powered engines, not sure if they're balanced though.

You could also take a dive into the wonderful world of ModuleManager, and customize the modded engines to your liking. It only takes a few minutes of work to write a patch that sets values like thrust, mass, Isp, heat production and anything else you'd like to change to whatever you want them to be.

This is one of the things that sets Kerbal Space Program apart from a lot of other games.

Or go straight to Interstellar, where you'll find the most advanced (realistic too) nuclear engines.

Just bigger/smaller engines to be used on various size crafts while staying in line with KSP's vanilla engine balance. I liked the progression on FTmN engines that went down on TWR and up in ISP by about 8% when going from smaller engines to bigger, just like most other engine lines do in KSP.

Ahh, I see. FTmN did have some excellent ideas. I'll consider doing something like that with my addon - though it won't be immediately available. You might want to take FTmN and see if you can update it for yourself to the current version of Kerbal.
