so i was able to get a swing wing "working" it can swing while not in the air (and even then not perfect at deploying) but it cant fly because of wobble of the wings (could fix with more docking ports but C'mon its gotta be pretty too) no pics (forgot to take and still tweaking) or download yet.

I am not looking for any recognition. I have just fell in love with the game and I wanted to try and give back to the community that I have only begun to explore. I see so much promise for fun in this game, I am going to continue to keep putting little projects like this together. I am also doing this without "help". I just wanted to see where trial and error would take me. After seeing the couple pictures in this thread of some other ideas/parts, it has me excited because I know there is more innovation on the horizon. I just want to thank you guys for being apart of this community because we all know this game wouldn't be half as fun without the great people that play it.

I still gave your rep before even commenting! :) It is often difficult to find in the depths of the forum, but mostly everything that could be done in older versions, has been done. Lots of smart kerbals out there! Of course, Squad is there to change the game, allowing and disallowing new engineering craziness all the time! I'm glad you picked up ideas from our talk, it's the idea behind the exchange IMO.

Possibly if I have time. I am 100% focused on my constellation project. If you have time, give them a go.

I am still a little miffed that you didn't even recognize the efforts of the OP on this. He is one of the very rare innovators on this forum and it should be celebrated.

Hey, I do recognize his efforts! I am trying to tell him additional information that he wouldn't know unless old dinosaurs like us repeated it every X months. The forum has short memory. Still, it spawned on off topic discussion about the smallest hinge... and I still think that you can't beat a spider engine without additional parts. But I'm waiting to be proven wrong, of course.

Rune. After all, very few parts are even as slim as the spider. I'm talking slimmer than a cubic octagonal strut!

Ok, good to hear that. I just feel that the tiny hinge method is more versatile and can just do more. It is also as slim as an ant engine, (I can't get used to these new names..)

This thread is quite old. Please consider starting a new thread rather than reviving this one.
