Do you think it would be possible to tweak the Duna dust storms so that they aren't visible or change to white over the poles?

I would if could... the sad thing is that it would require me adding an additional texture, as Duna reuses the same texture as Kerbin. I would duplicate it and change the colors to match what terrain they blow over. Same would go for the dust storms as well, I would need to add an additional texture.

So yes doable, but with more textures and I don't plan on adding more at the moment. Sorry :P

And adding more textures leads to less FPS. Hmmm, could you possibly tweak the window reflection plugin to have the clouds reflect the color of ground they are over? It wouldn't look as good over Kerbin, but since you got the clouds to be red over Duna alone, to my relatively poor knowledge of ksp mods it seems possible at least.

Hm... that would be an interesting effect... I have no clue if that's possible (probably not )but I could attempt it XD

if you set it on a very weak alpha blend (blend the white with a bit of the reflected colour) it could have some nice effect

That's what I'm thinking. It would make clouds over different biomes have different hues. Most noticeably over water.

Hey Avera9eJoe, got a question: I'm fiddling with v6 and a denser cloud stratus textures by Oinker, but I cannot seem to get a good shadow stratus2.dds layer from his original png. The alignment is rather offset.

I there anything in particular that need to be done to get the alignment correct?

.dds images are flipped vertically when added to the game. If you flip the .png upside down it should fix this. Also note that in my pack I took the shadow layer and offset it by one pixel to the side to make the layers look more separate from orbit. You could try fiddling with that yourself if you want.

Is there a way to get this working with the EVE WIP?

Sadly no. WIP EVE uses a completely re-written config format. I hopefully will be updating this pack when WIP EVE becomes a more finished product though.

Ok, finally got tired of having too many clouds. My game is constantly overcast! Time to install this!

hey i really have been wanting to add this mod but my game crashes every time, i installed the eve version you stated deleted the clouds folder as you said and copied in your files. the game loads all the way to the point after the initial screen with loading bar then the corner solar system loading icon spins for a second and then crashes to desktop.... is there something im missing here ?

Sorry to say, but this is an error with your RAM usage. Because KSP is a 32 bit program it freezes and crashes at about 3.3 GB of RAM usage. If you pull up task manager and sort it by memory you should see that KSP is reaching this limit and crashing on start because of it. THERE IS a way to solve this however! See here on how to enable opengl mode and save some ram.

This is the only planet visual enhancement mod that I use.

Sadly no... I've seen this glitch before but I only have bits and pieces as to what causes it. You've installed old EVE and not the WIP and followed the download instructions, yes? Also, could you hit ALT-F2 and tell me if there's any red in the debug log when in this scene? I'm not sure if I'll be able to fix this but I'll try.
