New to game- How do I obtain more contracts?

I just started the other day and I achieved the contract requiring me to hit 2,500km/s. I noticed that I don't have any more contracts. What to do at this point?!

You'll need to go to the mission control building (tiny one next to the VAB) and review and accept contracts there.

Also, Mission Control is one of the first buildings I upgrade. At level 1 you can only accept two contracts at a time, at level 2 that increases to 7 (I think), which makes things much easier.

Good advice. Only two contracts at a time is a tight limit, and the upgrade is quite cheap.

Two contracts at a time is a tight limit and it doesn't allow much wiggle room for the oh-so-useful contracts like "Test Twin Boar engine in sub-orbital flight of Minmus".

These "test" contracts temporarily unlock access to parts above your current science level. And you can use these parts until given contract is fulfilled or its deadline (years!) is past.

I swear I will test that Twin Boar someday. For now it serves as the launch stage all too well.

I never knew that...I always assumed you would still have to unlock it in the tech tree first. Good to know.
