I've asked my friends this and most of them stand, for whatever reason...

It seems like it's about half and half, but I'm curious to see what you guys say.

Personally, I sit, like any normal person.

Why? Choice of hand has nothing to do with it, and if you mean sitting or squatting, in both options it's less messier if you wipe immediately, before both m. gluteus maximus touch each other.

Good observation; I also carry a single wet wipe in my wallet for those rare times when rest area toilet paper just doesn't seem to be enough. Wet wipes, never travel without them!

I'm American and I'm the same way. If I wear any sandals without socks it always feels as if the sandal will slip off. The sock is a sort of "wedge" that keeps it in place. I don't care if it's a fashion "no" around here, I'd rather be secure than stylish.
