Map filter icons not working

When I am in-flight in Kerbin atmosphere and switch to map view(M) and mouse over top of window to show the object icons for filtering flags/debris/etc., clicking on them does nothing. I've also tried right clicking and middle clicking with no luck.

However if the planet is behind the icons then I get "Focus Kerbin" messages as if it is clicking "through" the GUI.

This is a stock bug that has persisted since 0.24 or so, but there's quite a few workarounds, one of being to pause and unpause the game with the ESC key. It's a wonder that it hasn't been fixed yet as it's incredibly obvious and easy to re-create.

I "fix" it by alt-tabbing, but not out of the game, I just hold alt and press tab til I circulates around to ksp again and release alt. This is one of those bugs that makes me wonder about Squad just a little....
