Question to SQUAD re figurines

As I've said before, I'd really love a set of little plastic figurines somewhere in the range of 25-50mm tall such that I could set up a little Mission Control team in front of my monitor, with possibly a couple of rookie astronauts and a veteran hanging out watching what's going on. Given that 3D printing is fast becoming more affordable, I'd like to know if there's a legally OK/SQUAD approved set of files for such that I could hand to someone with a 3D printer and ask 'em to tun out the figures in green plastic for me?

They have a shapeways store, and there's quite a few models already on thingiverse if you want to print your own.

Aye but the Shapeways models are far too large for what I want, and I wanted to be sure that if produced from anywhere else that they're legally OK to do so.

What I'd really like to see is bags or tubs of little plastic kerbalnauts--somewhere around the size, quality, and (ideally) price of the classic "little green army men." Or, y'know, somewhat higher quality (and price); that'd be good too. Mainly I want a bunch of them to station around my office.

I actually haven't dealt with shapeways yet, as I have my own printer, but if it's anything like every other 3d printer out there, they should be able to reduce the size significantly.
