McDonnell Douglas F-4 Phantom II [replica]

Don't get me wrong, this and the rafale looks very good and realistic, but i think you should return to your previous style of building, you have a talent for make good looking craft that also looks simply (For example ur pak fa), and it s a shame to build these larger crafts with lots of parts, they looks right but also they looks too much exagerate, sometimes less is better imho.

It s just my opinion you could not agree :) still great job!

To be honest my style is based on what plane I'm trying to replicate. A lot of the planes I did earlier, I did earlier because they work better with stock parts and they work with less parts. But having run out of easily made planes I am starting to do harder planes that fit the game worse and that demand more parts to make accurate. This is illustrated best with the rafale as I tried it with the simple and low part count style and it simply looked wrong :

and while the higher part count larger version is less clean and less simple it still looks a lot better than the low part count version:

I would love to do more simple planes that fit KSP properly but there aren't really any left to replicate.

I love your aircraft and really see some creativity. If something has been made before, just make it better than any other you can find online. Make it truly unique, make it yours.

I understand your point of view and i respect it, i agree the rafale lines and shape needs something different to be build, but i still think a less complicated f4 should be better, i really can t like your cockpit, ingegnious but i dont like it. I still prefer your other crafts but it s just me so dont listen to me too much :) Do what you want to do and how you want to.

I feel like every replica shouldn't be a low part "semi-replica." Although we should have those good low part good functionality replicas, we should also have, and encourage, these high part count accurate replicas as well. Good job BTW, though I do think the Rafale looked a little bit better.

maybe I just have to see the F4 from a different angle though.

A quick question, how do you match the blueprints of the actual thing with the KSP replica?

Thanks!

To match them I use an overlay program to put the diagram onto my screen and then match that with my kronal vessel viewer window. When the plane is made I use photo editing to put a Kronal vessel viewer screenshot on top of the diagram.

EDIT. Woo 2 stars !
