Survivability Tree - Missing Radial-Mount Parachute and Service Bay???

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone,

This is driving me crazy, and I'm at a point in my game where I NEED this parachute. As you can see in the picture below, Im missing two technologies from the Survivability tree. Can someone tell me how to get these? I dont know why the game has restricted them from me...

Thanks in advance,

Dan

Have you opened up the part files to see if anything is wrong there? It should be there according to this line:

TechRequired = survivability

Is it there in sandbox?

It's also possible any mods you may have run the memory through it's paces a little too much, and the game starts excluding parts [it's happened to me so much and it's irritating]

You could try changing the required tech line to start as well.

Hi scarps,

had to move this thread to Support, as your question belongs here. But will probably have to be moved again in case you answer positively to this question: Do you have Add-ons installed?

That question could be crucial, as Add-ons can easily change where any part shows in the TechTree. So, knowing which ones you have can easily provide the solution.

In case however there are no add-ons involved, it would be better to have your output_log.txt or player.log file. Should you need details, you'll find everything in this thread, where also better instructions are given about reporting issues.

Those files show what happened since KSP started, including the loading of any parts. As one possibility if that KSP didn't load those parts at all, something would show (or not) there.

Then, you could also access the ingame debug menu (Mod-F12), go to the DataBase tab, Configs, and scroll to find "Squad/Utility/parachuteMk2-R/parachuteMk-2R/parachuteRadial" and "Squad/Parts/Utility/ServiceBay/ServiceBay_125/ServiceBay_125", if they were loaded should be found in the list.

Anyway, it is also known rarely KSP can glitch and not load something, but starting up again fixes those temporary issues.

Hi guys. I tried to verify integrity, and restart the game many times. Still with no result. I went through the debug menu like you said, they are not present.

Anything Im missing? This is so confusing...

Thanks again guys, you're a friendly bunch!
