Thanks, i'll test this when i get home from school!

I have an explanation for this I think, using the one piece the center of mass is 'floating' in the middle/top of the cargo bay rather than on the cargo bay floor, with the multi-piece orbiter the CoM is on the same vertical plane as the floor of the cargo bay. This means that any changes in pitch during descent causes the center of lift to be too far below the center of mass causing the flipping motion when the atmosphere gets denser, but this is not noticeable during ascent due to the mass of the external tank.

Uh, I need help. I can't seem to be able to use the Cargo Bay properly. When I load up an orbiter, the Cargo Bay doors automatically open, but I right-click all in the VAB, in the Spaceplane Hangar, out on the runway, and out on the launchpad and there is no key to open and close the cargo bay doors. What am I doing wrong?

Ok, thank you. I'll make sure the corrections are made for the next update. In the meantime, please use the seperate wing model provided in the pack.

Sounds like a firespitter problem. Did you install all folders provided in the pack? If you have, the firespitter folder provided may have been corrupted somehow. Try reinstalling it.

In my experience, if the Shuttle doesn't have the body flap extended properly during re-entry and while its gliding through the atmosphere, the Shuttle will flip out of control and become unusable. I've had it where the body flap would for some reason deploy upwards instead of down and that really cripples the Shuttle during re-entry.

I can have it so it can only deploy like airbrakes and only downwards of that Is how it should be, I thaught it acted like a normal control surface. Let me know if you want the change

Also will adjust the COM to stop flips. Thanks for feedback

Due to popular demand I have made a new default skin for the shuttle. Will keep the other textures as switchable.

Here it is!

I know you will all love it!

I'm not too sure how the body flap actually was used. I think I remember reading somewhere that it was deployed downwards in order to protect the SSMEs from re-rentry heating but I'm not sure.

Also,

Those new textures look 100% accurate to me.

Ok, ok, We can consider these options for a later fictional shuttles pack.

Oh! I wasn't serious. No pressure the make any fictional shuttles, beyond maybe some slight deviations from what actually was put on the orbiters

What I can do is make a part that is basically a coupple of nozzles with different thrust transforms, which clips to underside of shuttle. This can contain x ammount of fuel (even with no fuel tank) to simulate adding extra fuel capacity to orbiter for new engines.

Or

I can make a module that sits inside cargobay which has nozzles as part of it that line up underneath orbiter. Bit more realistic. But it will take up space in bay.

What u rekon?

But this excites me...

For a second there Mike I thought you had actually spent time on texturing that stuff, but then I realized that its just a screenshot of one of the Orbiter 2010 mods. I got worried for a second lol.
