First, this mod need 0.15 version or higher to run animations. It don\'t work with free version.

If you have the latest version, may be you\'re running an old version of one of the plugins. Make sure you have overwrite the plugins files with thoose included in the mod.

Here comes some fresh news about the skycrane. It\'s under beta testing before release. All meshes are done, need to do textures and cfg adjustments.

For now, the cable winch do not work (no animation) but I hope to make it work properly.

Hm.... Seems like the .craft file for the skycrane is broken? And manual assemply isn\'t possible :/

Anyway the skycrane looks great, good job :D

I\'ll fix that immediately. It was a missing node in the RoverPod.cfg file. I\'m re-uploading the file.

The Skycrane is here, download LH_Rover v3.0 to try it. Now you can land smoothly on Mun or Minmus.

The first post contains v1.0. Is that a naming error or am i looking in the wrong place?

For your new warhammer40k ship could you make it chapter neutral, what I mean is I would not want to fly around in some Ultramarine/Blood Angels ship.

It\'s an imperial guard Heavy cruiser so be sure there will not be any chapter mark. I\'m thinking about painting it imperial green with white bow and some gold details.

It isn\'t. I think you set the impact tolerance too low.

EDIT: I\'ve been testing it on Kerbin, so the gravity may have something to do with it.

EDIT 2: Apparently, on Kerbin, the parachute has to work for it to survive. In the cases where it crashed and went boom, the parachute broke.

On a side note, how do you open the door/cover thingies?

As said when v2.0 came out, airbags are just 'parachutes' and don\'t have collider. They\'re just for show and you must use real parachutes for landing. When I\'ll find a way to make it work like real airbags I\'ll patch it.

To open the nacelle\'s doors press [p] or activate the part in the activation stage sequence by pressing spacebar. Make sure doors do not take too much damage, if they\'re damaged they can\'t open, so make soft landing.

Hmm having weight balance issues with the skycrane.. its doesnt like to stay upright even with an advanced SAS. I tried it without my rocket below it and here is the result.

Anyone know a good way to counter this? I\'ve tried making counter weights on my rocket but it just generally slows the whole thing down.

Also is anyone else having this problem?

Ehm any chance for you to make suspender cables? because without them this skycrane is kinda obsolete. It\'s what makes curiosity landing sequence so interesting.

THis lander part is very nice. but it adds nothing to the curiosity. we can build a lander like this ourselves with other custom parts.

Look in the OP, he plans on making the winch and all. The balance thing kinda bothers me but since I have been using mechjeb to land so it isn\'t too hard. Any plans on making the full exterior of the craft with functioning RCS, Chutes, and a detachable heatshield or will you just make a fairing and be done with it.? Things of that nature have been done before so it is only a matter of skill, which I lack. I have been using a decoupler on top of the crane with a RCS fuel tank + 3 chutes radially to slow down, I detach just after I hit 150 m/s. If you do happen to make the full set, mind trying to put a camera facing straight down to see where you are headed similar to how curiosity finds its LZ.
