When SMBHs collide, how to blow up a galaxy.

interesting.. but really PB666, I guess it will be a better idea if you make a mega thread called "Science Exciting News - megathread", where everybody post their opinion and resume about the news, with the source.

I am already subscribe to a science news site. So enter in the forum and find 3 topic with similar news and only 1 link (so not much to talk) it does not seems it worth it.

Yeah I am agree with the topics about space wars :P

but I just think (as many here) that it will be better to have an unique megathread to deal with news that are not very related to space exploration or enoght popular for a long discussion.

The same as the thread "for questions than dont deserved a new thread".

Answered in other thread, I would think that any deviations from expected results in a collision of two black holes would give us insights into physics of the most powerful events might also give us insights how to create power more efficiently, or control power more effectively, or to create power on a grand scale. I would hope that at least 1 or 2 people here are interested in the science of Space and not just space travel. Doesn't KSP have a major science gathering theme in it. Gravitoli detector, does it not sense gravimetric waves, and what was the articles conclusion, that when the two BH smash together they will generate waves that throw stars out.

How is this not appropriate for KSP (better not to answer)?

KSP IMHO needs more science, better telescopes, more elaborate science that reflects what space agencies actually do, not just what armchair astronauts wish that they would do.

Except that as the devs have said, KSP is not a space simulator meant to include all the minutia of a space program, it is a game with a space theme.

Right, that has been improving, so we can suggest improvement or add improved parts. Did not the last version several new science tools, so . . . .whats your point.

I'm not sure but I like links to arXiv or researchgate or anything along that line more than I like links to bbc or nyt when it comes to science. So please, at least, link up the original paper / material as well - nature site somewhat not so friendly with mobile user (and non-subscriber as well).

This thread is quite old. Please consider starting a new thread rather than reviving this one.
