Accidentally cancelled a contract

Is there any save file editing or other method that can revert this action?

Yeah if you can restore a quicksave (Note: Kerbal alarm Clock may keep some quicksaves for you so you may be able to find one of those) then that'll do it, though of course you'll lose anything you did after the save.

If not... I don't know. There is a section of both cancelled and open contracts in the save file (just search for keywords) but be very careful. Far more careful than you were in the game. Everything can look perfect and you've still munged your save. If I had to suggest, I'd say living with the canceled contract is better than the risk.

My last quicksave was a coupe missions ago, I'd rather not lose those. And yeah, I won't go editing the save file unless someone who knows what they're talking about can tell me how to do it. Thanks guys.

Then you might be outta luck - outside my experience I'm afraid . If you go dabbling in any of the save files, back them up first.

Good news you guys, when I cancelled the contract I hard-closed the game in my panic without exiting the mission control building and it turns out the game didn't save it! My contract was still there when I reloaded!

Aha, there's a trick I've never not been forced to avoid not doing. It also saves you from Kraken attacks sometimes.

Editing the save file works fine. Take a backup first in case you mess it up and then you can find the contract in the asve file and change it's status. I don't have a save file in front of me but I have done it before.
