KSP Real Solar System CKAN Install crash

Hello all,

I have been trying to get a modded install of KSP going for a while, so I used Scott Manley's guide to installing mods with CKAN. When I launch it with CKAN, it will load and right as it is about to enter the menu, it crashes while seemingly under the memory limit. Here is the output:

You ran out of process RAM. Remove part packs, lower the texture pack resolution, and/or use forced OpenGL mode (or DX11 mode) to lower RAM usage.

What's the DX11 mode...? can it be used in conjunction with -opengl?

No , the two are different settings of the same thing, they set the 3d rendering system used.
