That's a KAS problem, not Pathfinder. The following (old) post and the one after it talk about some work arounds for when this happens - to my knowledge no complete fix was ever made (at least there's nothing in the releases changelog that looks like it addresses this issue):

Ohhhh I missed it. I guess you can walk over to the connector on the ground and just press Y to pick it up and walk it back to the resource transfer station.

Still cant figure out how to inflate the habitat module. So close!! I have my RTS-1 hooked up to the habitat but when I try to inflate it, it says there's not enough rocket parts. Aslo something about resource distribution. There's definitely enough rocket parts on the rover. I noticed that when I open up the RTS-1 GUI it thinks its connected to the muncrete slab and I con only transfer ore. What am I missing here?

@J534 You don't need to transfer the parts to the module using the KAS interface. You just need to have either a docked connection through the RTS-1 (set link type to Docked on EVA) or a suitably configured resource distributor with rocket parts available. Then "Assemble" the habitat.

Everyone here's saying it takes Rocketparts, but in my game it says it needs machinery. Any way to set it so assembly needs rocketparts instead of machinery? Or preferably, remove the resource requirements to assemble the modules. I tried ALT+P but the menu doesn't come up, and the pathfinder menu doesn't offer anything either.

What's needed for assembly depends on which Play Mode you installed and configured.

To disable the resource requirement:

  •  from the pause menu select "Settings",
  • then the "Difficulty Options: XXX" button at the top of the settings menu.
  • Click "Wild Blue" button on left.
  • Disable "Require resources to reconfigure"
  • Click Accept then Accept again to save settings.

Which playmode to do set it to Rocketparts?

I'm not sure, I always play CRP, which uses Machinery. Maybe simplified? I know it's not Classic Stock - that uses some weird resources from long, long ago.

Hey @Aelfhe1m just wanted to say youre awesome. Thank you for helping me and others get things figured out. I just realized that it is saying I need equipment. I'm a little confused because I swear the first time I tried to do it, it was saying rocket parts. And a little more confused because I'm pretty sure my play mode is CRP but you said you're playing CRP mode and asks for machinery. I cant remember where I saw the toggle for play modes though and for the life of me I cant find. I do have Pathfinder CRP play mode and WildBlueIndustries CRP play mode installed from CKAN though.

Anyways you or anyone else know how I can cheat and just change swap out rocket parts on my rover for the resource I need?

It's accessed from the WBT button on the main KSC view toolbar.

Yes, sorry, got a bit confused myself there. CRP mode uses equipment. It's USI that makes use of machinery (and material kits), not WBI. I'd just been reading a post about someone setting up a USI based munbase and got the two mixed up in my head. Didn't help that they were using USI's inflatable modules. And one of my saves in the past used a USI playmode that doesn't seem to be available anymore.

Hey @Angelo Kerman, got a little bit of an issue ongoing with my current run, in that my resource scanning satellite is only picking up Ore, Metal Ore, Rock and GeoEnergy (obviously this is over Kerman). I'm trying to print Equipment, which among other things is going to require RareMetals or PreciousMetals depending on my play mode. I'm looking through my WildBlueTools folder and I can find the Storage_Template .cfgs. Can't find the Resource_Definition .cfgs anywhere though.  Makes me wonder if I missed a step in my installation somewhere. Which folder should they be in?

I've got WildBlueTools, WildBlueCore, Buffalo2, ClassicStockResources, MOLE, Pathfinder and Snacks going on; all of those should be the latest versions. Let me know if you need more data.

Never mind. I was trying CRP Mode; went back over to Classic Stock and everything's working now. Might consider removing the other modes from official releases.

I'm getting a weird bug where if I mouse over an inventory with some parts, it says one number (for example the solar panel says 80L), but then if I try and put it in, it has another number (around 1600L). I think it might have to do with KSP_PartVolume giving the part a different volume module or something? How can I fix it?

I am having problems with the Spyglass Survey Module,

When I use Internal View or Interior Overlay, the view offsets by 90 degrees. Or I'm looking straigt down or straight up.  Is this a bug?

I was looking the other day at the Gold Digger Portable Mini-Drill and realizing something looked very wrong with it.  Turns out the texture was, I am guessing, never flipped vertically when the mod changed from PNG to DDS texture files.  Anyway, for anyone who wants it, here is a fix.  Install it like you would any other mod.  The only thing it does is point the model to a properly oriented texture.  Safe to apply to an existing save and will not negatively impact any existing vessels.

Has anybody figured out how to deal with the issue of Pathfinder parts (Chuckwagons and Haciendas in particular) jiggling around until they just randomly explode, or having the Saddle explode spontaneously upon loading up a base? I've been using this mod for a long time now and I'm finally sick of having that happen...

Latest annoying thing I've got going on is the game generating two dozen messages to the effect that my storage is full and can't make any more Compost, or that Minerite has run out (it hasn't) every time I load up a craft or try to launch something. I assume that's a Snacks thing. Going to be awful irritating if I try to replicate my 1.8 goal of putting bases on each body in the Kerbol system...

Is there an up to date guide on using Pathfinder? I am completely and utterly lost.

No, there isn't.

That said, I'm currently doing another run to put Pathfinder bases on every solid world in Kerbin's system, so I can answer any questions you have and offer what guidance I can. Where would you like to start?
