How do i get rid of KSP API extentions?

Recommended Posts

You can try highlighting your GameData folder, then up in the Windows Explorer search box, do a search for: KSPAPI

It should show any copies of the .dll anywhere in your install. I know there were several mods that use(d) that .dll

IIRC, for awhile support for it may have been on hiatus, but here's the latest release thread for KSPAPI Ext:

Also, from what (I think,) I understand, some mods are dependent on SPECIFIC versions of the .dll...I guess that means they are customized by the specific mod dev, and THAT is why it comes packaged with several mods, and why you can have several copies in different mod folders...AND why just installing the latest stand-alone version of the .dll may not work either...

Hmmm.. You may need to do a Google for KSPAPI, and see what mods used it, then check each mod's release thread to see if you need a specific bundled version, or if the latest standalone .dll version will work... :(

Sorry not much more help...

EDIT: Actually, I just checked my extensive list of mods for it, and these use it:

Glow Strips

Smart Parts

Tweakscale

Then I Googled, and got led right back to the standalone release thread... doh!

If you check post #4 of the thread I linked above, you will find your list of mods that use it.

Smart of swamp_ig to require mod dev's to register their use of it, huh?... :)

2nd EDIT: Just came across this post in another thread concerning KSPAPI use on a mod that uses it:

http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/64227-1-0-4-Smart-Parts-v1-6-6-DDS-Textures-and-Bug-Fixes-July-5?p=2165510&viewfull=1#post2165510

Also read post #495 (a couple posts down) for a possible fix.

This thread is quite old. Please consider starting a new thread rather than reviving this one.
