DATE:  MARCH 22, 2095

LOCATION:  ERIN ORBIT

GaRus:  We are detaching the interstellar drive.

BOB:  Do we know that it won't impact Erin in the future?

GaRus:  The drive has been turned on.  It will fly on until it runs out of nuclear bombs.  So Bob, there is no danger.

BOB:  Good.  We came all this way.

JEBEDIAH:  All right, I just activated the orbital engines.

BILL:  Would you look at that.  Just like Kerbin.  GaRus, do you have any readings about the surface.

GaRus:  It is seven degrees celsius on the surface.  The atmosphere has a higher O2 ratio than Kerbin's

BILL:  You think there's life down there?

JEBEDIAH:  Sorry to butt in, but probably.  I mean, where did the oxygen come from?

VALENTINA:  Damn.

BEATRIX:  All right, GaRus' readings are showing that this place has about 80 percent of Kerbin's gravity.\

JEBEDIAH:  Firing engines!

GaRUs:  We are orbiting.

LOCATION:  LOW ERIN ORBIT

BILL:  The Cerberus shuttle is showing all-go.

JEB:  Roger that.

GaRus:  The shuttle is most likely going to succeed in its descent.

JEB:  Most likely?

BILL:  So Bob and Beatrix and I will pilot Cerberus A down to Erin's surface.

BEATRIX:  Oh yeah, GaRus named the moon in flight.

BILL:  Erin's atmosphere is drier , colder, and thinner than Kerbin's, but our Cerberus A will work.

JEB:  Believe me, I'm confident.

BILL:  GaRus this is Bill, we are preparing to undock.

BILL:  Beatrix, you good?

BEATRIX:  Yeah... I've just never been to an exomoon before.

BILL: (Laughs)

GaRus:  All right, you guys seem ready to undock.

JEB:  Say hello from the surface, eh.

BOB:  See ya on the other side...

BOB:  Nice job not killing us, Bill.

BILL:  Don't mention it.

GaRus:  Alright, you guys landed in relatively dry area of land.  How's the Cerberus?

BILL:  All good- we didn't sink down into the soil or anything.

BEATRIX:  Pressure is 0.987 Kerbin Atmospheres... temperature is just above freezing... barely any wind.

BOB:  So should we EVA? 

BEATRIX:  Yeah.  What do you think, GaRus?

GaRus:  Go ahead.

BOB:  Exodus, this is Bob.  Everything seems okay, thank you.  Wait a minute-

BILL:  What?

BOB:  What should I say?

JEB:  How about the poem?

BOB:  God no!

 

BOB:  This is Bob.  I'm on the soil!

EXODUS CREW:  (Cheers)

BOB:  Wait!  I know what to say!

JEB:  (Sighs)

BOB:  "We have traveled light-years for this moment- frozen in time- among open stars."

JEB:  That quote was ass.

BOB:  I doubt you could do better!

JEB:  Jesus Bob, it was a joke!

BOB:  There's this beautiful blue horizon over what looks like sand dunes.  My god it's beautiful.

BOB:  You know, the Cerebrus says that the atmosphere is oxygen-

BEATRIX:  Don't even try it.

BOB:  Oh you're no fun.

BOB:  Alright, I'm setting up the flag.  Ugly as hell.

BILL:  Stop being liquidy.

BOB:  I got, like, three hours of sleep last night.

BILL:  (Sarcasm)  Yeah, that makes it so much better.

BILL:  So is Exodus apparently on the other side of the planet?

BEATRIX:  Yeah.  Computer says so.  By the way-

BOB: What.

BEATRIX: -What does the plaque read?

BOB:  (Clears throat)  "After time adrift among open stars, among tides of light and through shoals of dust, I will return, to where I began."

BEATRIX:  Beautiful.

BILL:  Hey, I'm gonna do an EVA.

BOB:  Be my guest.

BOB:  Whoah!  Look at the scenery!  Hey Beatrix, want to join us?

BEATRIX:  Someone needs to watch the shuttle.

BOB:  Oh come on, Jeb won't chew ya out.

BEATRIX:  Exiting the shuttle.

BEATRIX:  Uhhh.

JEB:  Sorry to interrupt, but we have a situation.

BILL:  What now?

JEB:  GaRus recommends that you wait in the shuttle for about a day.

BILL:  Why?

JEB:  We're sending some modules down.

BILL:  Ah.  Okay.

BEATRIX:  Lower gravity.

BILL:  Alright, let's head back to the shuttle.

BEATRIX:  I just got out here!

BOB:  You'll have your chance.  C'mon.

BEATRIX:  Alright, fine.

VAL: Alright Jeb, prepare for Hab-1 undock.

GaRus: Hab-1 undock on my mark. (Pauses)  Mark.

JEB:  Bill, you read?

GaRus:  He's on the other side of the planet Jeb.

JEB:  Damn.  Anyhow, pulling in to dock-

JEB:  We have docking.  De-orbit burn in three minutes. 

GaRus:  Godspeed.

STEPHANIE:  Godspeed.

BOB:  Hey Jeb, this is Bob.  We're readin' you down here with the tracker.

VAL:  How's our heading.

BOB:  A bit fast, but you'll do fine.

JEB: (Turns off radio) So what ever happened to that third date?

VAL:  Excuse me?

JEB:  Oh come on.  You know, we're in a spaceship.  Alone.  No one can hear us-

VAL:  Jeb... the fact is, from our first date- when was it...40 years ago?  Well, from that date, I knew that you only love two things:  Yourself, and rockets.

JEB:  Ouch.  Well, when we land, want to have that third date?

VAL:  Lets focus on the mission.

JEB:  (Sighs and turns radio back on)

JEB: Somethings wrong- we're coming in to fast!

VAL:  Pitch the nose up and fire the landing engines?

JEB:  You think we'll have enough fuel to get to orbit?

VAL:  Let's not worry about that right now.

BEATRIX: Jeb and Val, you'll be landing at least 20 kilometers too far-

JEB:  Don't tell me the odds!

VAL:  Alright, we're headed in the right direction now.

JEB: C'mon.

BOB:  We see you! 

VAL:  Jeez.  I guess we can breath easier now?

JEB:  We still have to land.

JEB:  All sensors are reading touchdown!  Detaching Hab-1.

VAL:  Now you have to land us.

JEB: We did it- we landed. 454 meters away from you Cerberus-A

BOB:  Good job you two.

BILL:  You're still an ass, though.

BEATRIX:  What does the Hab-1 say?

VAL:  We'll get to that later.

GaRus:  I'd like to send my congratulations along with Stephanie.

Jeb:  So I guess?

VAL:  I guess I have to consider that date now.

LOCATION:  ERIN SURFACE

BOB:  Alright, I know that the atmosphere here is breathable, so I was thinking-

VALENTINA:  Not yet Bob.  Let's wait until we land a few more modules.

JEB:  I think we should do an EVA.  How 'bout you?

VALENTINA:  Well, let's still equalize cabin pressure and all that.

VALENTINA: Climbing down; Suit says that the pressure is breathable-

BOB:  See!

VALENTINA:  Yeah, I get your point...touchdown!  Oh my god.

JEB:  What?

VALENTINA:  I've never been past Kerbin Orbit!  Look where we are!

JEB:  Remember that I flew with you on all of the "Exodus Assembly Missions".

JEB:  I'm on the ground.

GaRus:  Well it's nice to see you two made it.

BILL:  Jesus Garus!  You scared me over the damn radio!  I was concentrating on the EVA.

GaRus:  You can do that later on.  I just wanted to say that I've uplinked with the Hab-1;  All checks out.

JEB:  You should check out Hab-1.

VAL:  On my way already.

VAL:  I engaged the auto-inflate and... it's going.

STEPHANIE:  Haven't been on the Exodus Radio much, but good work down there.  I've been adjusting the parameters of each of the base modules up here.  All checks out.

BEATRIX:  Thanks Stephanie.

VAL:  I'm entering Hab-1...pressurizing... opening hatch.

STEPHANIE:  When you get inside, tell me the readings on the frozen embryos. 

VAL:  Will do.  Will do... yeah, I have a green light on them.

CREW:  (Breathes in Relief)

GaRus:  You know, Cerberus-A seems a bit far from the base.

BILL:  You want us to fly a bit closer?

GaRus:  Yeah.  It'll allow for easier transits between you two.

BOB:  Got it.  Firing up engine.

BILL:  Careful!

BOB:  It's fine;  I'm just scooting a bit across the surface.

BOB:  See Bill, now we're a big and happy family, all closer together.

BILL:  Knock that sarcasm off.

CREW:  (Laughs)

JEB:  Uh, Exodus Base, we are go for launch.

GaRus:  Roger.

BILL:  Nice of you to bring me along with ya.

JEB:  I need a good pilot.

BOB:  See you guys in a few.

JEB:  Main engine start in five, four, three, two, one-

JEB:  -We have liftoff!

BILL:  Altitude is good;  Shutting down landing engines.

JEB:  Go.

BILL:  Engines are off...yeah so the main engines are all firing nicely.

JEB:  Alright, we're getting some flames.  All good.

STEPHANIE:  I'm watching the ascent from up here.

BILL:  Happy to see us?

STEPHANIE:  Let's wait for you to get to orbit first.

BILL:  Some ice queen.

GaRus:  I see the work for your orbital burn.  You'll meet us up here in just an orbit.

BILL:  Rog.

JEB:  Orbital burn in three, two, one-

(Jeb and Bill are pushed back into their seats.)

GaRus:  Orbital burn is A-okay.

BILL:  Shut up.

JEB:  I see Exodus!

BILL:  Pull us in to dock Jeb.

JEB:  So how are you Beatrix, alone up with a crazy computer for a week?

STEPHANIE:  Ah, well GaRus did his job just well.

GaRus:  Yeah so to speed up the colony module drops, I have prepared Greenhouse-1 for your docking. 

BILL:  Let's just dock first.

JEB:  Look at that view...

BILL:  Damn.

STEPHANIE:  I'll be waiting in Airlock 5 for your docking.

JEB:  So we'll pick you up first.

STEPHANIE:  That's the way GaRus wants it.

JEB:  Alright.

BILL:  Damn.  I just- I just can't help but appreciate job.

JEB:  I know how you feel.

MEANWHILE AT EXODUS BASE

BOB:  So you're setting up the flag closer to the base?

BEATRIX:  Yeah.

BOB:  Alright.

BEATRIX:  It's a nicely made flag.  I guess the plaque can use some work.

VAL:  Beatrix I want you back in Hab-1 to help me set up the embryos.

BEATRIX:  Alright, heading home.

BOB:  Home?

BEATRIX:  Home.

DATE:  APRIL 3, 2095

LOCATION:  ERIN ORBIT- ERIN SURFACE

BILL:  Coming up on Exodus.

JEB:  Uh, Exodus, we have a problem.

GaRus:  What?

JEB:  Yeah, Docking Port 5 is not there.  Probably fell off or something.  We're gonna' maneuver to dock with Port 2.

STEPHANIE:  I hear you.

JEB:  We have docking!

STEPHANIE:  Coming aboard.

BILL:  So how have you been?

STEPHANIE:  GaRus says that he'll detach Green-1 in a few minutes.

BILL:  You didn't answer my question.

STEPHANIE:  Fine.  I'm fine Bill.

GaRus:  Detaching Green-1

JEB:  Pulling in to dock-hang on.  I've got a problem with altitude control

BILL:  Yeah, the lander is turning too much on RCS unit 7.

STEPHANIE:  You think we'll have enough fuel to dock?

BILL:  Probably.  All I wonder is if we'll have enough to dock with Exodus later on.

GaRus:  Well, we do have a spare Lander and Cerberus shuttle up here.

JEB:  Thanks GaRus.

JEB:  We have docking!

GaRus:  I knew you guys would do it.

VALENTINA;  Nice work.

JEB:  Thanks Exodus Base.  De-orbiting.

(During De-Orbit Burn)

JEB:  Oh wow, she actually controls pretty well, despite the added weight.

STEPHANIE:  Hitting the atmosphere-getting some flames pretty early.

BILL:  We are on a steep trajectory.

JEB:  We're outside of the fiery portion; landing engines are on.

BILL:  We're actually going to land close this time.  Wow.

BOB:  I'm tracking you with the HabCam right now;  Nice work with the burn.

BOB:  You have some mid-to-high cloud cover.

JEB:  Got it.

JEB:  Commencing landing burn now!

BILL:  Touchdown! 

JEB:  Detaching; Landing a bit further away-

JEB:  -And good.  On the ground.  Anyhow, welcome to Erin, Stephanie.

VALENTINA:  Vitals on Green-1 are good;  Deploying.  I really think that we might just pull this mission off.

JEB:  (Sarcastically) Wow, really?

GaRus:  Good job down there, but we have a situation up here.
