Jet Engine Thrust Vectoring?

So... I've been trying to design a fighter in FAR, and all that. It's going well, BUT, I want to see if it was possible to make the jets vector with stock parts? Any idea if this is possible, and if it's practical?

They already do, it's just the gimbal range is quite small. You could try turning the gimbal range up in the configs and see how it goes.

1.1 is apparently bringing a new jet engine with much greater gimbal range, might be good practice for when that arrives.

Tried this before, doesn't work. Thrust doesn't continue to be calculated once it's been produced, if you know what I mean.

I've never tried that, but I'd think they'd overheat. You should try it and see if it works. For science!

FAR already increases gimbal.
