The Fantastic Probe-Distributing Minmus-Flying Rescue Mission!

Hey guys! First time poster here so be nice :D

Have been playing KSP for about 140 hours now and decided to get involved with the community. Rather than some boring "about me" post, I thought i'd share with you all my recent mission! Previously got featured on KSP's Facebook page with a screenshot I sent them which I was pretty proud of :P

Playing through career mode (haven't played for some months so only just getting used to the new physics) and accepted several contracts, include a "rescue from orbit" and several "place sattelite into orbit" missions. So...I figured I would combine them all!

Designed a probe-dispersing rocket (I'm sure there are plenty of people that have done this but first time for me!) with a rescue pod underneath. Even had enough fuel on board (went overkill in the design!) to stop by Minmus...because science. Take a look at the mission on Imgur!

Let me know your feedback, and look forward to contributing on here in the future :)

Thanks guys!

I need to redesign the probes as they suck - poor SAS, need to rethink the engine used or amount of fuel carried as I'd like to use the probes to reach faraway planets. Might need to wait until I've researched Xenon tech etc.

Also want to redesign this so that it can carry 6-9 probes at once - this would probably require a "back to front" approach so that the load is being dragged up rather than pushed up by the thrust.

Currently working on a comprehensive Minmus lander with a large science payload that I can leave in orbit to use on future missions. I'll stick some pictures up later if i get it finished :)
