FishInferno
Hey guys, I don;t wanna come off as begging for money but I figured it couldn't hurt to post this here. Me and my friends have launched a couple weather balloons over the past couple years, and our latest project has been to make a small payload that will be placed on a sounding rocket. We have created a GoFundMe to help us pay for a slot on the sounding rocket. If we do not get the money from this, we can still launch it, but it will take longer and we will probably not make the next launch (April 2016). More info can be found on the fundraiser. Any amount helps, and if you could share it on Facebook or Twitter that would be great! Thank you all:) Edited October 19, 2015 by Vanamonde

The rules disallow the posting of any projects and/or links that benefit the poster monetarily. It mentions gofundme's specifically. It's a nice project but I think it's iffy. Flymetothemun
Rule 2.2-I prohibits:"Links that promote projects and/or products that are meant for the personal profit of either party, this specifically includes linking through ad.fly"And you do come off a little bit as begging for money. Take up a collection with all members of your firm; you should get on the track to your $300 with that. Vanamonde
Recently we've allowed some fund-raising posts for charity causes and the like, but yes, as a general rule, we'd rather this not be a site where people advertise services or ask for money. This thread will be closed now.
