Have been to Mun and back a few times now, and one successful return mission to Minmas from one attempt - all with my trusty Mun10 rocket and lander.Some pics from my last mission to Mun, EVA, and return to land within a few kms from launch pad. HighHill Posted August 30, 2012 Share Posted August 30, 2012 A couple of pictures of my Mun Base Alpha:The base houses a total of 33 Kerbals.If I remember correctly the base and it's launch vehicle weighed in excess of 900 tonnes on the launchpad and the lag made my computer weep. The crew of four made it back safely to Kerbin, landing in the middle of a valley, in one of the planet's highests mountain ranges... at dawn The munar ascent part made me think, though: what's the most fuel-efficient way to make the trip Munar surface -> Kerbin? I'm sure the subject's been discussed somewhere already, but I can't seem to find it...EDIT: those two command modules definitely look like ASTP!
