I'm new.

Hi there, I have just played KerbalSpaceProgram for only 8 hours and I still do not know what I am doing. I want to make taller rockets to go out into deep space however they always spin wildly out of control. Hopefully I can get some advice on how to be good at this game here.

Hello Random_G, and welcome to the forums!

There is a lot of information on the forums to help you with all aspects of gameplay. You should probably start with the Tutorial subsection and you should probably check out The Drawing Board. The tutorials built into the game are also definitely worth checking out if you're brand new.

Hope this helps.

Happy landings!

Hey man. I recommend you look into a mod like Kerbal Engineer. It displays all sorts of information to help you build efficient, effective rockets. As with anything unfimiliar, it can take a while to get used to the rules of rocket science. But don't let that ruin the game for you. As for your spinning out of control problem, use rocket fins or an engine with a gimbal (that information is displayed when you right click on a part in the VAB). Think of it like a lawn dart. When it's thrown up, it naturally wants to point it's nose into the airflow. Any stage that is used in the atmosphere is much more stable due to that. Keep at it, and I'm sure you will be a regular von Braun in no time :).

Hey dude! I welcome you. For your rockets, I recommend struts, tons of struts. They even cost 42 "V" so they're the answer to everything. I recommend for flying, just launch into orbit a lot. That helped me get the jest of flying and such.
